We are heartbroken to report energyclubnz has chosen to exit the retail energy market.
It is with an immense amount of sadness that we have taken the incredibly difficult decision to cease our operations in June 2020. This is a result of a number of factors, including the prolonged, ongoing, and increasing volatility in the wholesale electricity market as well as the impact of Covid‑19 which has meant many households face increasing challenges in meeting their household expenses, including their energy bills.

Very happy that we switched from Meridian to Energyclubnz!

Pros:

Love the weekly billing and their mobile app. Provides us with ongoing access to our consumption which motivates us to go to the gym more frequently. We're becoming healthier as we save money on a weekly basis.

Cons:

I'm upset that we didn't discover energyclubnz sooner, no complaints!

Our household is very pleased with this power company, it has saved us a substantial amount of money per month on our power bill. We also entered the draw to win free tickets to the Openair Cinema worth $80 (two weeks worth of electricity) and won!

Pros:

- Current customers get the best deals (not just new customers signing up) - Weekly direct debit billing makes paying easy - Much cheaper than our last electricity provider

energyclubnz has been with me now in my last 3 houses and I have saved more than $240 a year versus my previous retailer.

Pros:

Pros: I have solar and they have a buy-back scheme. Frequent billing with auto payments a couple of days later have helped me understand and also reduce my consumption further. I have also won a couple of Open Air Cinema tickets in a members only competition - these were worth a couple of weeks of electricity costs!

Cons:

Non that I can think of !
