Sent an inquiry to see if our smart meter was compatible and never heard back. Then a month later our power company said we were no longer with them when we asked why no bill. Contact had taken over our power and net without permission or communicating this to us. We had no control over the plan and called their customer service 3x in one week but gave up after the 45 min holds. We were not sent any bills. We then were called on my husband's cell to say we had an overdue bill and bad credit. This was the same week as finding out they took over our power. Zero communication, zero customer service and absolutely appalled they took over our power without permission. According to our new power provider, this is not very uncommon for contact to change someone's power without them knowing. Never trust the electricity cost estimate tools they provide on their website. The initial estimate indicated a cost of $169 for summer and $262 for winter, but the actual bill received was $277. Upon inquiring with customer service via email, they explained that the estimate tool uses the basic plan pricing, which differs from the good night plan I had selected.

Been with contact for 2 years. Moved houses and wrongly thought we moved goodnight plan over. Terrible customer service almost $1000 in over 2 month period. Wasn’t noticed as we had a $700 credit from northpower. When noticed immediately contacted customer service who just did not want to rectify this. We are still trying to catch up with bills now and have recently moved to another provider.
